East Orange Man Killed In Newark Shooting, Authorities Say

A 27-year-old East Orange man was identified as the victim of a fatal Newark shooting.

Marquis Forman was killed on the 700 block of Springfield Avenue around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

Marquis Forman was killed on the 700 block of Springfield Avenue around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.

He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead 8:19 p.m.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
